Koh Phangan is a large Island off the east coast of Surat Thani province in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Phangan is located about 100 km offshore and about 15 km north of Ko Samui. Most well-known for its monthly full moon Party, Koh Phangan features some of the most spectacular Beaches in Thailand, most of which are still only moderately developed, providing visitors with easy access to either a wild beach party or a relaxing and quiet beach Holiday.

Apart from the beautiful beach and deep blue sea water, Koh Phangan offers tourists natural attractions i.e. waterfalls, mountains, Local coconut farms and fishery at Chokechalam Village. Wonderful scenery is waiting for you since you are on board the island. The island is not far away from Ko Samui which is one of Thailand’s leading Tourist Attractions. In addition, taking a ferry to Tao Island to sightsee coral reefs and aquatic animals is convenient.

There are several tourist attractions in Koh Phangan i.e. forests, waterfalls, beaches, sea, temples, cultural and adventurous ones like Tan Sadet National Waterfall, Rin Nok Beach, Tong Nai Pan Yai Beach, Tong Nai Pan Noi Beach to name a few.

Travelling To Koh Phangan Guide

Getting to Koh Phangan takes a little more effort than most tropical locations. We don’t have a local airport on the island and you have to make a short 30-minute boat ride from neighbouring Koh Samui for the fastest route. See below for a few different options on how to get to our magical island, it’s well worth the extra effort.

International Flights

There are daily flight from most major airports to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, you can book online with many of the major airlines including BA, Qantas and the national carrier Thai Airways. There are also cheap options for flights to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia with Air Asia with direct flights to many thai cities from there. Prices are best in low season around the end of March and the start of April.
